· sixteen years subsequently in healthcare PR on the agency side, latterly as Managing Director of specialist healthcare agency Lowe Fusion Healthcare

· several years as an independent strategic consultant, providing experience of what works best in practice for clients

· current Deputy Chair of the HCA (Healthcare Communications Association), the unique trade body of both leading healthcare communications consultancies and pharma industry communications professionals

· former President of AIOPI (Association of Information Officers in the Pharmaceutical Industry - now PIPA)

· experience in most disease areas over the years, notably MS and general neurology, transplantation and diabetes, but also cardiovascular, oncology, pain, mental health, HIV/AIDS, respiratory, infections, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, dermatology

· extensive experience in communications training, both in the UK and in local operations around the globe

· probably THE most experienced person in the industry on appropriate brand prescribing programmes, with experience both cross-industry and for specific cardiovascular, antiepileptic and immunosuppressive agents
